Important Information for People Seeking Vital Records in Arizona

Effective July 1, 1998, birth records more than 75 years old and death records more than 50 years old were made public records, and are now available for on-line searching.  If a person was born in Arizona between 1887-1932, or died in Arizona between 1878-1957, you can search for their birth or death certificate by clicking on the links above.  If you find the person you are looking for, you will be able to print a copy of their certificate.

If you are looking for birth records less than 75 years old or death records less than 50 years old, you must still contact the Vital Records Section of the Arizona Department of Health Services.

Copies of marriage and divorce records must still be obtained from the county in which the license was issued or the decree was granted.
