Dear Family Historians:
On July 1, Arizona's death records up to 1923 will be available on microfilm at the Arizona State Archives. There have been difficulties in processing the records, so the remaining death records up to 1948 will be available by the end of July. The Utah Genealogical Society continues to microfilm birth records up to 1923. We'll make these records accessible as soon as the filming is complete. The Society will also be microfilming birth and death records held by the State Archives, and these will be available sometime in August.
Money for renovating the designated vital records area on the third floor and hiring new staff will be available on July 1. This means that only three reader/printers and limited research space will be available on the fourth floor until later this fall.
We will have indexes for both birth and death records on July 1. They do not appear to be complete, so knowing the exact date of a death will be helpful. Certification of copies will be available, but we can only certify on a separate form that the copy is a true reproduction from microfilm held by the Arizona State Archives.
The staff of the History and Archives Division will do everything we can to help you in your research in our area on the fourth floor of the capitol. We look forward to working with you.

There have been many books about Graham County residents published. Do you own one in which you would be willing to do lookups?
