Mailing Lists (a.k.a. Email Discussion Groups) Pertinent to Wilbarger County Research

Being part of a mailing list is like having your own virtual research community. It's an easy way to network with other genealogists to share distant ancestors, get answers to questions, request lookups and swap research stories. Genealogy mailing lists are free, fun and are often one of the best online possibilities for filling in some of the blanks in your family tree. These same lists not only help you find information about your ancestors but many times can connect you with people who have research interests similar to yours.

Below are some mailing lists pertinent to Wilbarger County and Texas research in general.  Also listed for your convenience are a few lists dealing with specialized areas of Texas research.  You can join one, two or even all the lists.  Remember, it's free!

Understand however, that some of the lists will have a high amount of traffic.  The higher the traffic, the more email in your inbox.  Newbies should know that one message sent to the list means that everyone on the list will get the same message.
