Weld County Schools: Retired

Schools which are not used as public, charter, or private classroom buildings,
but serve in some other capacity (apartments, offices, etc)

Pleasant Hill/Liberty Hall
Built in the early 1920s to replace the old, two-room, wood-framed schoolhouse. Consolidated into the Mead Consolidated Schools in the 1950s.
Since that time, the building has been owned by the Liberty Hall Grange.

Big Bend School

The Big Bend School District was formed in 1875. When this building was originally built is unknown at this time. Somewhere around 1947-1950 the school was consolidated with Gilcrest (Valley High) and LaSalle. Before the consoiladation and after finishing 9th grade, the children went to College High School. Located at: 17744 Weld County Road 44. This is now, as best we can tell, a private home.

Picture (below) of unknown boy/s and childrenin front of school appear to have been taken in the 1920s.
